In Jan 2001, network arts member Glasford Hunter exhibited 11 pieces of artwork as part of an exhibition for local artists at the Civic suite, Lewisham town hall. The exhibition was originally set to run until the end of march 2001, but Glasfords work recieved so much attention that he was asked to leave it hanging for another 3 months. Following this period, the exhibition was extended again, and in October 2001, the Town hall purchased Glasfords portrait of Martin Luther King. The portrait now hangs in the council chambers.
