The Satellite Photography Group presents a unique personal selection of diverse images. The exhibition runs throughout August 2009 in the Limelight Gallery situated in Lewisham Central Library on the ground floor. The pictures express our varied approaches and it is interesting to compare the differing stories the images evoke and portray.
We are already planning to present our second photographic show to coincide with Mental Health Day in October.
The photographs are beautifully mounted and framed professionally by the Lee Picture Framers. This excellent framing service is run by members with mental health support needs. For information on either of these groups please contact Network Arts
About the Satellite Photography Group.
The group comprises current, associate, or ex-members of Network Arts Lewisham.
We formed the Satellite group in early 2009, and hold regular weekly meetings. All members have helped with the planning and organisation of our first exhibition. There is a club atmosphere to the group, with many different skills and interests. We include a semi-professional photographer, a vintage radio enthusiast, a creator of a website about aircraft, an artist and a keen-eyed octogenarian. As well as sharing information and helpful hints, we have trips to museums, galleries and places of photogenic interest.
