"An Arts & Craft project for people living in Lewisham, who have mental health support needs. Offering a supportive welcoming space to explore your creativity, learn new art techniques, put structure to your day and maybe make new friends." Mo Saunders - Co-Ordinator Network Arts

The Screen Printing group runs on a Monday, with a morning session from 10am - 12 and an afternoon session from 1pm-3pm. The group is facilitated by Keith Ginn. Keith has been screen printing for about forty years, initially as a hobby and then incorporating it into his work in mental health services back in the early 80's.

The group offers members the opportunity to print their own designs onto T-shirts and other fabric items using simple paper stencils. New members will generally start by printing a simple design in one colour, but will soon progress to printing more complex multi-colour designs.

We have a full range of inks that allow a wide range of colour options and effects to be obtained. All our inks are water based, so should not affect people with sensitive skin.

We have easy to use computer program that enables members to produce interesting designs. The internet is also a useful means of obtaining graphics. Members do not need to have any experience of using computers, as training and support is offered in using all of the equipment.

Members usually bring in their own T-shirts etc but we do have fabric off cuts to practice on.

We make a nominal charge of 50p per print to cover the cost of materials.

The images below are examples of the kind of work produced in the screen printing group.
