What is Snap?
Snap stands for Supporters of Network Arts Projects, a group of volunteers who do what they can to support and promote Network Arts Lewisham and the Picture Framers.
Why do we need your help?
There is a high probability that most of us will either suffer the traumas of a mental health illness or know someone close to us who does so.
Snap is committed to campaigning to bring this subject into the public arena, correcting the misconceptions generally held about mental illness and approaching those who have the power to do something about it – e.g. local and national government
Who can join SNAP?
Originally Network Arts received core funding from the South London and Maudsley Trust but was run by a Board of Directors, who dealt with the day to day running of the Project and met on a regular basis. However, when NAL was brought under the remit of SLAM, these people wished to continue to show there support for the Projects and formed themselves into SNAP. Membership is open to anyone, and many Service Users – both current and former – attend their meetings, whilst there are also a number of ‘passive’ members, mainly carers, friends and relatives of NAL Users
